Discover how your waqaf contributions
can make a big impact on people's lives...
Learn more how you can waqaf a water pump for the villagers in Cambodia now.
I remember when I first visited the homes and schools in the villages both in Cambodia and Indonesia,
I couldn't sleep and kept thinking what I can do to bring a change in these people's lives.
I see homes without water sources except the rain.
They had to collect the rainwater as much as they could
during the wet season and ration from it.
But before you know it, it's all dried up.
One thing kept going through my mind..
The hadith of our beloved prophet (pbuh):
"None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself"
That's when I decided to make a small effort.
A small effort that will bring big smiles to these faces.
My friend and I started the korban project, waqaf water pump project and
fundraising project for a school there.
We even organised an expedition and brought Singaporeans
over to the village to see themselves the living condition of these villagers and
contribute whatever they can.
We are hoping to build one water pump for each home.
Nothing has ever been more satisfying than to see smiles spreading on their faces,
appreciating every of our tiny effort.
Above this satisfaction, I am only hoping the rewards and glad tidings
from ALLAH swt as He had promised in His al-Quran,
in chapter al-Baqarah: 261,
"The example of those who
spend their wealth in the way of Allah
is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes;
in each spike is a hundred grains.
And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.
And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing."
May ALLAH favour us all with His blessings, aamiin..
